JACKSON COUNTY, Ga. – Two Jefferson siblings have been arrested in connection with a home invasion and armed robbery that occurred in the early morning hours Tuesday in Jefferson.
Robert James Cooper, 32, of Jefferson, was arrested Tuesday afternoon and faces charges including first-degree home invasion, aggravated assault, armed robbery, obstructing or hindering an emergency call, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of tools for the commission of a crime, three counts of simple assault and misdemeanor obstruction.
Nicole Ashley Cooper, 36, of Jefferson, was arrested Sept. 29. She faces charges of party to a crime in connection with the home invasion, simple assault under the Family Violence Act and criminal trespass.
Authorities did not provide additional details about the circumstances of the home invasion or the allegations against the two suspects.
Both suspects were taken into custody as the investigation continued.
