PRESS RELEASE – On Sunday, February 19, 2023, at approximately 6:00 pm, Deputies responded to the Shop N Save located at 3115 Commerce Rd. Jefferson, Ga.
The clerk had called 911 and stated that she had just been robbed.
The male suspect had taken an amount of cash from the register and fled the scene in a black Jeep SUV.
The suspect was later identified as Luke Avery Brookshire (30) of Jefferson.
On February 20, 2023, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office was able to locate and arrest Luke Avery Brookshire. He is currently in the Jackson County Jail and has been charged with Robbery.
