Teen Arrested on Drug and Firearm Charges After Traffic Stop in Jackson County

EAST JACKSON, Ga. — A routine traffic stop in the East Jackson community on Tuesday morning led to the arrest of a 17-year-old on multiple drug and firearm charges, according to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies identified the suspect as Crystopher Issak Perez, who now faces several felony and misdemeanor counts.

Authorities said Perez was charged with:

  • Possession of Schedule II drugs with intent to distribute
  • Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute
  • Possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony
  • Possession of a firearm under the age of 21
  • Reckless driving
  • Possession of drug-related objects
  • Additional drug and traffic offenses

The sheriff’s office praised deputies for their work in making the arrest. No further details about the traffic stop or the amount of drugs seized have been released.

The case remains under investigation.
