At the 2020-2021 Governor’s Office of Highway Safety “Governor’s Challenge” awards ceremony that was held last Friday in Macon, Georgia your Jefferson Police Department was recognized with a 1st Place award. We were recognized by the GOHS as the agency that promotes the best Speed Awareness in the entire State. This is based off of our crash reduction efforts, educational programs and enforcement contacts.
